The Sacramento Kings sank to the bottom of the Western Conference on Tuesday as they remained winless in four games. The Kings were trampled by the San Antonio Spurs, 130-103, at Frost Bank Center.

The Kings allowed 80 points in the first half, which proved to be their undoing.

De'Andre Hunter had 24 points, including five three-pointers, and six rebounds, while Domantas Sabonis added 20 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists. The Spurs, however, were still too much, improving to 2-2.

Despite their 0-4 start, Sabonis stayed positive with a 1o-word post.

“Stay the course. Lot of ball left to be played,” wrote Sabonis on X.

The 30-year-old center is not known to be very vocal, but he has fully embraced his leadership role, even though it is an unenviable job on a losing team.

Last week, Sabonis stressed that he should be the offensive hub, which some viewed as a subtle shade at either the coaching staff or Darius Acuff Jr., whose efficiency has been questionable so far.

“Move the ball. Get me the ball more. Point guard shoots, point guard hits the corner, point guard hits me, then I can make the read. That's where I'm best at,” said the three-time All-Star.

Acuff had 19 points on 20 attempts, three rebounds, and five assists against the Spurs, while Zach LaVine had 22 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

While the Kings have been struggling, Sabonis is aware that it is too early to be alarmed. They, however, will have to get on track soon if they want to avoid another embarrassing campaign.
