Joey McGuire might have another wrinkle waiting for Houston on Friday night. Texas Tech is expected to increase Thomas Castellanos' involvement at quarterback against the Cougars, according to Pete Nakos.

That could make an already talented Red Raiders offense considerably more difficult to prepare for. Will Hammond remains Texas Tech's unquestioned starter, but Castellanos demonstrated last week why McGuire wants to find ways to get him onto the field. The Florida State transfer completed his only pass for an eight-yard touchdown while adding five carries for 15 yards and another score in Texas Tech's 35-24 victory over Oregon State.
