The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently in the stretch run of the regular season as they prepare for the MLB playoffs, which are set to get underway in a couple of weeks. The Dodgers appear likely to be the number two team in the NL behind the Milwaukee Brewers, who also finished first in the league last year.

The Dodgers have played recently without pitcher Roki Sasaki, who is on the 15-day injured list with a finger issue.

Now, the team has gotten a positive update on his status moving forward.

“Roki Sasaki is throwing a live BP in Cincinnati today. Dodgers are hoping this will be the last check mark in his recovery from a blister. TBD if they’ll put him back in rotation or shift him to the bullpen once he’s activated,” reported Jack Harris of the California Post on X, formerly Twitter.

Sasaki is one of several stars on the Dodgers' pitching staff, one that turned up the heat at just the right time last season en route to their second straight World Series championship.

Injuries have once again played a big role for the Dodgers this season, with Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, and reigning league MVP Shohei Ohtani all missing extensive time with various issues, but Los Angeles once again seems to be getting healthy at the right time with the playoffs approaching.

Last year, the Dodgers had no problem going on the road and dispatching the Brewers in the playoffs, something they might have to do once again this time around if the two teams match up again, as many expect them to in the NLCS.

In the meantime, the Dodgers will next hit the field on Wednesday vs the Cincinnati Reds.
