The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers are on a collision course in the National League Championship Series for the second year in a row.
The Dodgers are the two-time defending World Series champions, but the Brewers are widely considered the best team during the 2026 MLB regular season, having won a franchise-record 103 wins — also the best overall in the big leagues by three games. (The Los Angeles Dodgers won 100 games.)
Now that the Dodgers are crossing paths again with Milwaukee, Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts shared his video of the Brewers, who, to his eyes, are a great example of what a baseball team should be.
“They play baseball the way it’s intended,” Roberts said, via Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
The Dodgers swept Milwaukee in the same round in 2025, as Milwaukee struggled to find its offense. In that series, the Brewers scored just a run in each game, as Los Angeles swept them in four games. The Dodgers then went on to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series, doing it in seven games.

To get to the NLCS, the Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves in the NL Division Series Round (3-1), while the Brewers took care of business against the San Diego Padres in the same round (3-1).
