The Los Angeles Dodgers catapulted back to the National League Championship Series. Max Muncy rose as one of the heroes for Game 4. But Andy Pages' performance against the Atlanta Braves buried some past postseason demons.
Pages smashed the go-ahead run that placed LA ahead for good. The back-to-back World Series champions cruised to the 4-1 road win at Truist Park.
The World Series champ Pages broke the 1-1 tie during the seventh inning, ripping this baseball down the middle.
Pages even faced a 100 miles per hour four-seam fastball while facing two outs. He became honest about the sequence he was facing.
“From the beginning of the series, I was waiting for a moment like that,” Pages said via his translator with Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal. “Trying to get a good pitch, and swing at a good pitch. I was lucky to be able to do that.”
Pages then got real about finally shedding last season's MLB Playoff struggles.
“It was a tough moment. But I let that time past and I put it in the past to try and focus on the present. And try to do that now,” Pages said.
Now Pages receives a chance to create new history for the Dodgers organization. He's already been a part of the first back-to-back champions for LA. But the Dodgers are envisioning making it three in a row. But he vows to enjoy the moment in moving past the NLDS then await the Milwaukee Brewers or San Diego Padres, who face each other on Thursday night.
