DJ Moore's second game with the Buffalo Bills ended early after he suffered a shoulder injury against the Detroit Lions at New Highmark Stadium on Thursday.

It happened when Moore attempted a diving catch in the end zone in the second quarter. He had to be helped off the field. He was initially listed as questionable to return before being ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

The Bills defeated the Lions, 41-31, for their first win in their new home.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Moore could return to action in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

“Doctors do not consider it serious and will leave him day-to-day, per source. ‘He has a chance to play next week, but it's not a lock, either,' said the source,” reported Schefter on X.

The 29-year-old wide receiver did not have a single reception against Detroit.

The Bills acquired Moore, along with a fifth-round pick, in a trade with the Chicago Bears in exchange for a second-round pick.

More details to come.
