With the Dallas Cowboys amid a rocky start to the 2026 season, the team is looking to boost its roster after the trade for cornerback Joey Porter Jr. from the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the season. As the Cowboys traded for Porter, the returns have been limited, as the latest injury update is sure to catch the attention of any fan.

Ahead of Dallas taking on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, team insider Ed Werder reported that after Porter dealt with the illness that kept him out of the 24-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 8, he's dealing with another issue.

Porter would ‘roll his ankle' in practice this past week, which has him listed as “questionable” for the contest, though the hope is to play, making sure to mention that “his game status has nothing to do with his contract.”
