Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones addressed the incident involving Dak Prescott and a non-team employee who called the team's Week 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers “embarrassing,” saying he supports fans expressing their opinions.
Jones discussed the exchange Tuesday during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan as the Cowboys prepare for their Week 5 road matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on @1053thefan he didn’t pay a lot of mind to the driver (non team employee) who yelled ‘embarrassing’ at Dak Prescott. Jones pointed out that the driver was a fan,” Joseph Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reported on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“I’m for our fans expressing themselves,” Jones said.

The interaction occurred after Dallas suffered a 24-16 loss to Tampa Bay at AT&T Stadium on Thursday night. As Prescott walked through the tunnel following the game, a stadium worker called the Cowboys' performance “embarrassing.”
Prescott glanced toward the man before continuing through the tunnel and told a team employee to get him out of the area. According to Pro Football Talk, the man was a driver employed by a third-party contractor rather than a Cowboys employee.
The loss dropped Dallas to 2-3 and gave the previously winless Buccaneers their first victory of the season.

Jones' comments indicate he does not view the postgame interaction as a significant issue as the Cowboys turn their attention toward Week 5.
Dallas will face the Packers (3-2) on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
