The Washington Commanders entered Week 3 fearing a nightmare scenario. Washington lost Jayden Daniels to another elbow injury in Week 2, knocking the young QB out for multiple weeks. The odds looked stacked against them going up against the defending Super Bowl champions. But the Commanders showed that they are no pushovers.
Washington got a huge upset win against Seattle in Week 3 with the score of 33-31. The Commanders improved to 1-2 on the season.
The game-winning play took place on a third-and-seven with under two minutes left in the game. Backup QB Marcus Mariota kept the ball on an option play and rumbled past the first down marker. That gave Washington the ability to drain the rest of the clock and secure the victory.
