The Indianapolis Colts will be without veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen for their Week 4 matchup against the Washington Commanders in London, taking away one of quarterback Daniel Jones' top targets.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Saturday via X, formerly known as Twitter, that Indianapolis downgraded Allen because of a groin injury.

“#Colts WR Keenan Allen (groin) has been downgraded to out against the #Commanders.”

Allen's absence comes after his best performance of the young season. The 34-year-old caught six of nine targets for 63 yards and a touchdown during Indianapolis' 19-17 Week 3 victory over the Houston Texans. His score marked his first touchdown with the Colts.

Through three games this season, Allen has recorded 13 receptions on 20 targets for 100 yards and one touchdown. He caught six passes for 32 yards in the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens before being held to one reception for 5 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.

Losing Allen creates another challenge for Jones and the Colts' receiving corps. Indianapolis is already without Alec Pierce, who landed on injured reserve after aggravating his surgically repaired left heel against Kansas City.

Josh Downs, Tyler Warren and Darius Slayton could see increased opportunities in the passing game with Allen unavailable. Downs, Allen and Warren combined for 20 receptions and 195 yards against Houston.

Indianapolis will attempt to build on its first victory of the season after opening the year with consecutive losses.

The Colts (1-2) face the Commanders in London on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network.
