Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season was much calmer than the prior week, as wet weather and lower-scoring games dominated the afternoon slate. A shootout Thursday Night Football affair started the week off on a solid foot, but a few upsets and disappointing results from expected contenders made for this week of football to be very unpredictable.

1. Buffalo Bills (no change)
The Josh Allen MVP conversation is fully back on, as BuffaloâÂÂs standout quarterback put everything on full display against the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football. Allen threw for three touchdowns and ran in two more, as the Bills outlasted the Lions in a fun shootout, 41-31. AllenâÂÂs performance helps keep the Bills locked into the top spot of the Week 3 NFL Power Rankings.
2. Seattle Seahawks (no change)
A Jaxon Smith-Njigba masterclass helped the Seattle Seahawks withstand another game missed by Sam Darnold, as JSN found the end zone three times, catching nine passes for 155 yards from Drew Lock.
It was a heavy rushing attack for the Seahawks, as their 31-7 win helped Emmanuel Wilson (21 carries), Jadarian Price (13), and George Holani (4) control the game for Seattle, as they now sit at 2-0 after an easy divisional win, locked into the second spot in the Week 3 NFL Power Rankings.
3. Los Angeles Rams (no change)
A Monday Night Football matchup pits the Los Angeles Rams against the New York Giants, a matchup that may not include Puka Nacua. Having not suited up much for practice this past week, questions are still being asked about Nacua's availability for their MNF game, and if he were to miss, it would deal a major blow to LARâÂÂs chances of earning their first win of the 2026 NFL season.
4. Denver Broncos (no change)
It wasnâÂÂt pretty, but the Denver Broncos are off the schneid in Week 2, having earned their first win of the NFL season. A home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars gave a glimpse of what is to come for Jaylen WaddleâÂÂs role in the Denver offense, as the former Miami receiver caught 8-of-10 targets for 138 yards in the win.
Rookie running back Jonah Coleman found the end zone for his first-career touchdown, stepping in for the injured JK Dobbins, who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2. Coleman could be in line for a larger role in Week 3, as RJ Harvey missed Week 2 with an injury of his own.
5. San Francisco 49ers (+1)
An easy 23-point win for the San Francisco 49ers helped them move to 2-0, and that is due in large part to a three-touchdown performance from Brock Purdy. Purdy connected with George Kittle (4/80/1) and Kyle Juszczyk, while he ran for a touchdown as well.
Christian McCaffrey wasnâÂÂt asked to do much, but he turned 14 touches into 66 yards and two touchdowns in the win, making any fantasy football rosters happy.
6. Chicago Bears (-1)
A three-point home loss to the Minnesota Vikings was overshadowed by an early exit from QB Caleb Williams, as their franchise quarterback suffered a concerning, non-contact injury to his right hamstring. Williams doesnâÂÂt seem to have a diagnosis for why he was carted off in the fourth quarter, so Bears fans are on edge for the time being until we find out how much time Williams will need to miss.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars (no change)
A strong Week 1 came to a halt for the Jaguars in Week 2, as they fell on the road to the Broncos, 20-13. Trevor Lawrence put up a scoreless performance in the loss, only throwing for 189 yards and an interception; Bhayshul Tuten scored the lone TD on the day for Jacksonville, while Parker Washington led all JAX pass catchers with seven catches for 98 yards (on 12 targets).
8. New England Patriots (+1)
Welcome back, TreVeyon Henderson! Capitalizing on a Rhamondre Stevenson fumble, Henderson found the end zone in his season debut, turning 16 carries into 76 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, they harassed Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh offense into two turnovers, four sacks, and a defensive touchdown in the 20-3 win.
9. Baltimore Ravens (-1)
Going away from Derrick Henry in the second half doomed the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, as their home loss to the New Orleans Saints could have been avoided. After seeing Henry find the end zone in the first half, offensive coordinator Declan Doyle decided to go away from Henry in the second half, changing up the offensive identity on the fly.
Without Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman (7/88/1) and Mark Andrews (6/49) stepped up in the passing game, but it wasnâÂÂt enough to move to 2-0 on the year.
10. Philadelphia Eagles (+1)
It should have been easier than it ended up being, but the Philadelphia Eagles managed to hold off the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, earning their second win of the 2026 NFL season. A late score by wideout Darius Cooper provided the winning score for the Eagles, as he hauled in Jalen Hurtsâ second passing TD of the day, with 10 seconds left in the game.

11. Detroit Lions (-1)
Strong showings from Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jahmyr Gibbs were all for naught, as the Lions were overwhelmed in their TNF matchup with the Bills, 41-31. Goff threw for four touchdowns, St. Brown put up 142 yards and two touchdowns, and Gibbs crossed the century mark and hauled in a receiving touchdown, but a disastrous showing from the Detroit defense left the offense out to dry in their Week 2 loss.
12. Cincinnati Bengals (+3)
The Joe Burrow-JaâÂÂMarr Chase connection is healthy once again, as two touchdown connections between the elite pairing helped the Cincinnati Bengals get out to a 2-0 start this year. Chase hauled in touchdowns from 32 and 18 yards out, as the Bengals had Evan McPherson chip in two field goals from 50+ in the win.
13. Green Bay Packers (no change)
While it did take overtime, the Green Bay Packers have finally found the win column in the 2026 NFL season. A game-winning field goal from rookie Trey Smack provided the difference, as it was quite a rough showing from Jordan Love and the Green Bay offense, as the rain and an injury to WR Jayden Reed made it quite a slog in the first half.
14. Kansas City Chiefs (no change)
The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0 to start their redemption tour in 2026, thanks to strong performances from Patrick Mahomes and Kenneth Walker III. Mahomes threw for three touchdowns in the win, Walker accounted for over 150 yards of total offense, and Travis Kelce crossed the century mark on nine reception, leading all KC pass catchers.
15. New Orleans Saints (+3)
The Tyler Shough-Chris Olave connection was once again on full display, as the Saints went on the road into Baltimore and sprung the upset. Shough threw for 252 yards and a touchdown, rushing for another, and Olave caught eight passes for 86 yards and a touchdown in the win, moving to 1-1 on the season.
16. Minnesota Vikings (+1)
Carson Wentz navigated his first start of the season for the Minnesota Vikings, as three field goals from Will Reichard were all the Vikings offense needed to earn an upset win on the road over the Bears.
With Kyler Murray missing Week 2 due to a concussion, Wentz held his own in the soggy Soldier Field, orchestrating another win for the upstart Vikings, as they now sit atop the NFC North at 2-0.
17. Houston Texans (-5)
The Houston Texans defense did its best yet again, but it couldnâÂÂt do enough to stop a Week 2 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, dropping this team to 0-2. C.J. Stroud threw for 353 yards, shocking for a passing attack that did not have Nico Collins at its disposal, but even that standout performance was not enough to earn the win.
Not including David Montgomery enough after a three-touchdown performance last week doomed the HOU offense, as Montgomery only touched the ball eight times.
18. Dallas Cowboys (+3)
Week 2 was more of what we expected to see from the Dallas Cowboys, as a four-touchdown performance from Dak Prescott helped lead the offense to a 37-20 win. Prescott connected with both CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson for two touchdowns apiece, as the passing attack was on full display.
Five pass catchers hauled in at least three receptions in the win, led by LambâÂÂs eight receptions for 159 yards. George Pickens caught six passes for 40 yards, while Ferguson chipped in four receptions for 43 yards in the win.
19. New York Giants (Monday Night Football)
The New York Giants get another prime-time game in their 2026 NFL season, as they will travel out west to face the Rams. It will be another test for Jaxson Dart, as he and Isaiah Likely put on an aerial display in their Week 1 upset win over the Cowboys.
20. Carolina Panthers (+3)
The Alabama Crimson Tide version of Bryce Young seems to be here for the Carolina Panthers, as the signal caller was airing it out with ease against the hapless Falcons. A three-touchdown day from Young, connecting with Chuba Hubbard and Darren Waller (x2) led the way for the Panthers on offense, while LB Devin Lloyd racked up nine tackles, three passes defended, two interceptions, and a pick-six in the win.

21. Los Angeles Chargers (-5)
An easier start to their 2026 NFL season has turned sour for the Los Angeles Chargers, as they dropped a 26-14 matchup to the Las Vegas Raiders to fall to 0-2. Justin Herbert doesnâÂÂt look to be having the type of breakout year everyone thought he would, as he and his new offensive coordinator, Mike McDaniel, are not on the same page.
A three-turnover game from the LAC offense, two interceptions from Herbert and a fumble from Omarion Hampton, bogged down the Chargers offense, as scores from Hampton and Oronde Gadsden were all the offense was able to muster in the loss. A little fire needs to be instilled into the LAC locker room, as comments from Herbert after the game don't sound as serious as they should be after their 0-2 start; the sky hasn't fallen yet for the Chargers, but a bad start has knocked them down five spots in the Week 3 NFL Power Rankings.
22. Pittsburgh Steelers (-2)
The Aaron Rodgers-led Pittsburgh offense only mustered a field goal in their Week 2 loss to the Patriots, and itâÂÂs safe to assume that things needs to change. While a quiet, easy win over the Falcons in Week 1 started things off on the right foot, Rodgers barely had any time in the pocket on passing plays, contributing to his two-turnover performance, as he was ultimately pulled for Mason Rudolph in the loss.
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1)
Things are going in the wrong direction for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers so far this season, as an 0-2 start is far from what was expected. An upset loss to the Cleveland Browns put the Buccaneers on the wrong side of the Baker Mayfield bowl, as Mayfield struggled to throw the ball in the surprise loss.
24. Indianapolis Colts (no change)
A costly overtime decision doomed the Colts, as taking the easy field goal all but guaranteed an OT loss to the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. With too much time on the clock for Mahomes and the offense, Shane Steichen decided to tie the game on a field goal instead of going for a touchdown, as Indy still finds itself searching for its first win of the 2026 NFL season.
25. Las Vegas Raiders (+1)
Kirk Cousins and Tre Tucker helped the Raiders remain undefeated to open their 2026 season, as a 12-point upset win over the Chargers helped push the Raiders to the top of the AFC West. Cousins threw for three touchdowns in the win, with Tucker catching one of those (and 119 yards). Cousinsâ play has not yet opened the door for prized rookie Fernando Mendoza, although his three interceptions through his first two games is a sign of concern.
26. Washington Commanders (-1)
A road loss to the Cowboys was made 100x worse with the injury to QB Jayden Daniels, who suffered a dislocated left elbow on the final play of the first half. With a ton of potential outcomes for Daniels, all of which include missing some time, the Commandersâ season is all of a sudden hanging in the balance.
Marcus Mariota stepped in in relief and led scoring drives, but it is clear that the WAS offense takes a step back when the veteran is lining up as QB1. All eyes will be on the health status of Daniels moving forward, as the 2026 NFL season could be over just as it was getting started for the Commanders.
27. New York Jets (+2)
The New York Jets let a 2-0 start slip through their hands, as the rainy Meadowlands held down the Packers offense for most of the game. Geno Smith wasnâÂÂt able to put together a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter, as the offense failed to do anything in their lone overtime drive before they let up the game-winning field goal.
Garrett Wilson (5/57/1) caught SmithâÂÂs lone touchdown of the game, as Braelon Allen found the end zone on the ground in the loss, as the Jets find themselves sitting at 1-1 and near the bottom of ClutchPoints' Week 3 NFL Power Rankings.
28. Tennessee Titans (+2)
Cam Ward fell around 10 seconds short of his first win under Robert Saleh, as the Titans played the Eagles incredibly tough in Week 2. Ward ran for two touchdowns in the loss, as the offense didnâÂÂt really put up much outside of WardâÂÂs rushing work and two field goals from Joey Slye.
29. Atlanta Falcons (-2)
The frustrations continue to add up for the Atlanta Falcons on offense, as their issues at quarterback continue to plague the entire offense. Cooper Rush was replaced by rookie Jack Strand, and neither option moved the needle in either direction, as Rush (3) and Strand (2) combined for five total turnovers (3 INTs) in the loss.
30. Arizona Cardinals (no change)
Week 2 was more in line with expectations for the Arizona Cardinals this season, as a 24-point loss to the Seahawks matches more so where they are at as a team. A lone touchdown from Trey McBride helped keep the Cardinals from being shut out, but a 95-yard passing performance from Jacoby Brissett is a perfect microcosm of how poorly the offense performed.
31. Cleveland Browns (+1)
The Cleveland Browns have earned Todd Monken his first win as an NFL head coach, upsetting the Buccaneers in Week 2. Rookie wideout Denzel Boston led the way in the receiving game, catching five passes for 95 yards and a touchdown, making it two consecutive weeks of Boston finding the end zone, as the Browns climbed one spot in the Week 3 NFL Power Rankings.
32. Miami Dolphins (-1)
Inefficient is how to best describe the offensive performance from Miami in Week 2, as garbage time work from Malik Willis helped make their loss a bit more respectable. DeâÂÂVon Achane produced an inefficient 93 yards on 23 touches (20 carries), averaging just over four yards per touch; it was a good sign to see Achane earn an uptick in his touches, but it still isnâÂÂt going to be easy sledding for the stud RB. Miami finds itself in the basement of the Week 3 NFL Power Rankings, as they can only go up from here in Jeff Hafley's first year as head coach.
