The Los Angeles Clippers' offseason wasn't short of drama. Of course, the team was docked five first-round picks for the Kawhi Leonard salary cap circumvention scandal, which came after the team had agreed to trade Leonard to the Toronto Raptors. After the dust settled on the controversy, Leonard was officially shipped north of the border, and the all-time great defender just agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Raptors.
In return for the trade, Los Angeles landed Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and a pick swap option. Of the players involved in that deal, most of the offseason drama surrounded Leonard. Ingram didn't have the purest offseason either, though.
Brian Windhorst confirmed that Ingram had offseason surgery on his heel, and there is no update surrounding if/when he'll be healthy.

Ingram is a two-time All-Star who has missed his fair share of time over a 10-year career. The former number two pick has failed to surpass the 65 games played threshold seven times, although he was active for 77 games last season, the most since his rookie year. Leonard has had his fair share of injury issues, too.
Regardless, the Clippers were smart to hit the reset button and grab a younger player for one who is aging. Adding draft capital was beneficial, too, especially considering the loss in picks the team suffered this offseason. More details surrounding Ingram's surgery will likely come during media day.
