Two undefeated AFC West teams collide in Las Vegas, and only one will leave 4-0. The Chiefs are 3-0 and favored by 4.5 points, with a 47.5-point total, but the Raiders have won three straight under Kirk Cousins.

With Kansas City heading into its bye afterward, Sunday carries extra weight for both. Here are three bold predictions for a matchup that may be closer than the spread suggests, each with a clear path to happening at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Rashee Rice erupts for 130 yards and a touchdown

Rice has quietly become the center of Kansas City's passing attack. His targets have climbed from two in Week 1 to six in Week 2 and nine against Miami, where he caught seven passes for 88 yards. He has topped 80 receiving yards in each of the last two games, and he was the only Chiefs pass catcher with more than three targets against the Dolphins.

My call: Rice posts 130 yards and finds the end zone. Patrick Mahomes is averaging 8.3 yards per attempt under coordinator Eric Bieniemy, and Rice is the receiver best positioned to benefit. Las Vegas has been winning through methodical scoring, so Kansas City may need chunk plays to keep pace. Rice has the volume trend and the big-play ability to deliver them, and Travis Kelce, who has topped 55 yards in every game, should keep defenders from doubling him.

Brock Bowers catches 10 passes again and Cousins throws three touchdowns

Bowers made his season debut in Week 3 and immediately looked like the focal point, catching 10 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. Cousins completed 13 passes to tight ends in that game, and all three of his touchdowns came within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. That is exactly how the Raiders have built this 3-0 start.

I say Bowers reaches double-digit receptions for the second straight week, and Cousins throws three touchdown passes again. Cousins has 661 yards and nine touchdowns, and the Raiders overcame an 11-point second-half deficit against New Orleans on the strength of short, efficient throws.

Chris Jones was also limited by a calf injury earlier this month, so Kansas City's interior rush may not be at full strength. If Cousins can get the ball out quickly to Bowers, Las Vegas can move the chains without taking many deep shots.

Raiders upset the Chiefs 27-24

The market says Kansas City is the better team, and Dimers projects a 26-21 Chiefs win. My prediction is more aggressive: Las Vegas hands Kansas City its first loss and sends the Chiefs into the bye at 3-1.

The path is a controlled game. Ashton Jeanty has carried at least 19 times in every game, even though he is averaging under three yards per carry in the last two. Mike Washington Jr. ripped off a 36-yard touchdown against New Orleans, giving the Raiders a legitimate change-of-pace option. If Jeanty grinds out tough yards and Washington adds one explosive run, Las Vegas can shorten the game and avoid a track meet.

Kansas City still has the better quarterback, and Mahomes has thrown at least two touchdowns in every game this season. But a home crowd, a well-schemed passing game and a late Cousins drive could be enough. The Chiefs will not be surprised by the Raiders' approach. Stopping it is another matter, and that is why this upset call stands out.
