Charlie Woods came in for unfair criticism after a popular golf account posted a clip of his reaction to a missed putt.
NUCLR GOLF reposted a viral video on X of Tiger's son failing to hole out before dropping his club and putting his hands on his head in frustration.
It was a completely normal reaction for amateur and professional golfers alike, but the narrator in the video called Woods Jr. âÂÂspoiled and entitledâ and questioned his upbringing.
However, the vast majority of replies came to the 17-year-old's defense.
"Leave the kid alone. I've done worse (at his age) and seen worse from much older men who should know better," wrote one.
"Such a strange thing to post about a child," added another.
"Who is this guy narrating? Never played a day of competitive golf in his life," a third posted.
"This narrator has a woods problem," a fourth suggested.
Charlie is always going to be in the spotlight due to his dad's impact on the game, but he is a teenager and deserves to be given some space to develop.
You will see worse reactions on the PGA Tour week in, week out. Even Scottie Scheffler slammed his club at the BMW Championship earlier this year and got into it with his caddie Ted Scott.
It's just part and parcel of a competitive sport and Scott clearly doesn't hold a grudge as he praises Scheffler, who has made him millions of dollars, at every chance he gets.
Charlie Woods set for lucrative college run
Thankfully, Charlie put the miss behind him at the Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass and recorded a career-best tie for eighth.
Charlie has committed to Florida State for 2027 and recently signed an NIL deal with TaylorMade.
A statement, released on September 4, read: "TaylorMade Golf announces the signing of AJGA (American Junior Golf Association) champion Charlie Woods to its growing roster of top junior and collegiate NIL athletes.
"Woods, the 2025 AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational winner, is a rising senior at the Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida, and a 2027 Florida State golf commit.
"Woods arrives with a resume built on the AJGA circuit and top amateur events.
"His 2025 win at StreamsongâÂÂs Black Course came by a margin of three shots in a field that included four of the five top-ranked AJGA players at the time.
"Woods joins TaylorMadeâÂÂs elite roster of amateur golfers including his future college teammate & WAGR No. 5 Miles Russell, U.S. WomenâÂÂs Amateur winner Asterisk Talley,àNCAAàTeam Champion Logan Reilly & more."
Woods Jr. added: "Having TaylorMade in my corner has been great. TheyâÂÂve supported me a lot over the last year, and IâÂÂm really excited to officially be part of Team TaylorMade. So many great players have been a part of this team, and IâÂÂm looking forward to whatâÂÂs ahead."
