The wide receiver room for the Los Angeles Chargers is completely depleted with numerous injuries within the position group. With Justin Herbert already playing with limited talent around him, he lost his go-to target, Ladd McConkey, early in the contest against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Reports indicate that the 24-year-old pass catcher sustained a concussion in the first quarter of Sunday's game. The Chargers announced he will not be returning almost immediately after he was taken off the field and taken to the locker room.
“Injury update: Ladd McConkey is being evaluated for a head injury,” the Chargers said on X. The organization followed up with, “Ladd McConkey has been ruled out with a concussion.”
