Coach Kellen Moore's New Orleans Saints beat the New York Giants 34-27 on a day when Alvin Kamara joined an excusive club. Tyler Shough played through two broken bones while defensive back Kool-Aid McKinstry also went through an injury-related issue.

Coach Moore explained what happened to McKinstry after the game in comments shared by ESPN reporter Katherine Terrell.

“I think it's just a collection of (having a) migraine and on field and we just got to work through that,” Moore said.

McKinstry had one tackle in the game and was not his usual playmaking self. He hasn't had a pass break-up since Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens and his tackle totals have also dropped off in relation to the first three games of the season. The Saints defense almost coughed up a 17-point lead that was built up during the third quarter. JJ McCarthy shredded the McKinstry-led Saints secondary in his Giants debut with 243 yards in one quarter.

McKinstry was not listed in the Saints' Week 6 injury report, but his migraine symptoms were a cause for concern. The Saints need him to play like his usual hard-hitting self and he hasn't quite been what they need him to be lately.

Tyler Shough, Alvin Kamara and the Saints offense helped pick up Moore's team as the Giants roared back. Shough threw for three touchdown passes while Kamara broke off a 15-yard run, looking like his old self. Kendre Miller notched 70 yards on the ground as New Orleans took control late.

Moore knows something is not quite right with McKinstry right now, a development to watch as the Saints' season continues.
