Coach Jim Harbaugh's star-crossed Los Angeles Chargers welcomed the Denver Broncos to SoFi Stadium amid injuries to Ladd McConkey and other key players. Herbert attempted restore confidence, and to lead his team to its first win in five tries but lost another important player along the way in Tre Harris.
Harris suffered a hamstring injury and was listed as questionable to return by ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Chargers' leading receiver suffered the injury on a perfect seal block that gave running back Omarion Hampton, oversized neck roll and all, a chance to run through a huge hole.

Harris was listed as a breakout candidate with the Chargers this season along with RJ Mickens and has lived up to the hype so far. He had two catches for sixteen yards in Week 5 action before exiting the game. Harris wasn't able to continue the positive momentum he's built so far this season alongside Hampton, Herbert and the rest of the Los Angeles Chargers offense.

Herbert, Harbaugh, and the team's Mike McDaniel-led offense played better against Sean Payton's Broncos than in recent weeks, leading 17-10 early in the fourth quarter as the defense helped to maintain a one-touchdown lead.
Harris is one of the Chargers' most promising young players and his injury put a damper on the strong start from Harbaugh's team. His return was in question, but the Chargers did their best to carry on as they looked to snag win number one on the season.
