The Arizona Cardinals traded Marvin Harrison Jr. (and a 2027 sixth-round pick) to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick. With the club near the bottom of the rankings and the deadline quickly approaching, rumors suggest another big-name player on Arizona's roster could be on the move too.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz claims that a name to keep an eye on in the coming weeks is edge rusher Josh Sweat. Although the Cardinals have appeared unwilling to deal the 29-year-old (despite Sweat demanding a trade), Schultz speculates that if another organization made the right offer, then Arizona might be willing to change its mind.
“I'm not sure we'll get another Marvin Harrison [trade] per se, but another Cardinals name to watch is Josh Sweat,” Schultz said. “He requested a trade after Jonathan Gannon was fired. He doesn't want to be in Arizona. The team is losing, and there are plenty of contenders looking for pass rush help.
“Now, Arizona keeps saying they don't want to move, but really, they're waiting for an offer strong enough to change that,” Schultz continued. “And that's what happened with Marvin Harrison. I think the same thing could happen with Sweat before the deadline.”

Sweat signed a four-year, $76.4 million contract with the Cardinals in the 2025 offseason after playing the first seven years of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles. However, his time in Arizona has not been nearly as successful as it was in Philly from a team perspective.
The nine-year veteran has maintained a high level of play since signing with the Cardinals. Through 22 career games with the franchise, Sweat has accumulated 40 combined tackles (27 solo), 13 sacks, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
