The New Orleans Saints have some issues to deal with, and injuries are part of the problem. However, one question that remains is whether Tyler Shough can be a franchise quarterback. Troy Aikman gave his thoughts, according to a post on X by ESPN.

“Tyler Shough is an older guy, and he came in with his maturity,” Aikman said. “He’s asked to do a lot … within that offense. And yet, he’s handled it exceptionally well, considering they throw the ball as much as anybody. They don’t have much of a running game. So, there’s a lot on this young guy’s shoulders that he’s having to carry.

“And he definitely gives them some hope that he will be the guy. And from what I’ve seen of him, I think he’s got a really bright future.”

Heading into Monday Night Football, Shough had thrown for 917 yards in three games with eight touchdowns and three interceptions.
