Caleb Williams: Bears' offense expects to score on every drive

The Bears scored on nine of their 14 drives on Sunday, with eight touchdowns, one field goal, two punts, one fumble and one turnover on downs. For quarterback Caleb Williams, that’s not good enough.

Asked about the full potential of the Bears’ offense, Williams said it’s scoring on every possession.

“Scoring every drive is our mindset, that’s the potential for us, that’s the internal expectation,” Williams said. “It’s the expectation for ourselves to score every time.”

Last season, no NFL team even scored on half of its drives, so scoring on every drive is a bit of a pipe dream. But Williams’ comments show how confident the Bears are in their offense this season. And after Week 1, they have every reason to be confident.
