The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are searching for wins after an injury to veteran quarterback Baker Mayfield. Mayfield is out as he has a thumb injury. ESPN reporter Adam Schefter reports Mayfield could miss significant time.

“Sources told ESPN that Mayfield is dealing with a dislocated thumb that is expected to sideline the star quarterback anywhere from three to six weeks, depending on how quickly he is able to grip the football,” Schefter wrote.

Mayfield had an MRI done this past week, which showed no additional damage. He has a dislocated thumb which is affecting his grip.
