The Minnesota Twins avoided the sweep over the New York Yankees with a walk-off win in the 13th inning. Yankees' shortstop, George Lombard Jr., could not come up with the routine ground ball, and it went into the outfield, allowing Twins' Luke Keaschall to score after rounding third base.

Before the hit, Lombard Jr. was standing in the sun and happened to cross into the shaded part of the infield, attempting to field the grounder. With the base being right there, it made it difficult for the shortstop to get a clear visual on the ball. As a result, the Yankees lost their first game since Saturday.
