KC Concepcion gave Cleveland Browns fans a reason to breathe easier. That's after a frightening collision forced him out of the team’s Week 5 loss to the New York Jets. The wide receiver took to Instagram after Cleveland’s 17-12 defeat at MetLife Stadium. He shared a reassuring message about his condition.

“Yall know I'm good thanks to the lord and savior 🙏🏾🙏🏾,” Concepcion wrote in his Instagram story.

The uplifting post offered some relief after the young playmaker was left motionless on the turf following a helmet-to-helmet collision on a deep pass from Deshaun Watson. Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness on a defenseless receiver. Meanwhile, Concepcion was evaluated and ruled out with a concussion. He now faces the NFL’s concussion protocol. That leaves his availability for Cleveland’s next game up in the air.

Concepcion has become a useful target in Todd Monken’s offense. The rookie recording 18 receptions through the Browns’ first five games. His potential absence would add another complication for a unit already struggling to find consistency. Monken described the collision as an unfortunate “bang-bang play.” He indicated that Concepcion was in good spirits after the game. For Cleveland, the receiver’s positive update is encouraging. His recovery, though, will take priority as the team evaluates its options ahead of Week 6.

The Browns enter the next stretch of the 2026 NFL season at 3-2. Following a 34-10 opening loss to Jacksonville, Cleveland won three straight against Tampa Bay, Carolina, and Pittsburgh. Sadly, their offense unraveled against the Jets. Eight sacks and multiple fumbles proved costly in the rain-soaked defeat. It has put Watson under renewed scrutiny. Now, Cleveland needs answers on offense. They hope Concepcion can return once he clears concussion protocols.
