The Denver Broncos were without Patrick Surtain II in the 23-17 Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. With the club preparing for a big Week 6 clash with the Seattle Seahawks, Denver received troubling news in Surtain's latest update.

Reports indicate that the 26-year-old cornerback missed Tuesday's practice with his teammates, according to Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette. In the Broncos' list of injury updates, it's believed that Surtain is one of two key defenders trending in the wrong direction for the game against the Seahawks.

“Broncos CB Riley Moss (rib) returns to practice for indoor walkthrough after missing one game. Was listed on Monday's estimated injury report as limited. Absent were CB Pat Surtain (ankle) and safety Talanoa Hufanga (ankle),” Tomasson reported. “Both not in line to play Thursday vs. Seattle.”

The six-year veteran sustained the ankle injury during the Broncos' 24-14 Week 4 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. It was a non-contact injury that led to Surtain falling to the ground and needing immediate attention from trainers. However, further testing revealed that he avoided a season-long injury. However, his availability remains up in the air.
