The Boston Celtics have recently seen the feud between franchise star Jayson Tatum and traded star Jaylen Brown take a considerable uptick with media comments from both parties. Brown recently responded to a statement from Tatum on Instagram with a “cap” emoji and stated that there wasn't beef, but rather “lambchops and gravy” between them, and that Tatum should “stay ready.”

Now, former Celtics champ and current broadcaster Brian Scalabrine has gone on the offensive, hitting back at Brown's digs at the star.

“I think Jaylen Brown lives in his own reality. Because it wasn't documented that he was demanding to be traded… now he can say that it was Tatum's fault. He can just make stuff up,” he said, per Celtics Enjoyer on X, formerly Twitter, via The Starting Lineup.

Scalabrine also documented a specific alleged incident of Brown's supposed trade demand.

“My understanding is that Jaylen Brown went to the organization and had a list of demands, and it was like, you either do this or you trade me. He was rooting to get traded to Milwaukee, including calling some other teammates about, ‘Hey man, what do you think of Milwaukee?'” he added.

If true, it would certainly be a big turn of events in the Tatum-Brown saga.

For now, Celtics fans will have to rely on Brown's bizarre, self-contradicting set of media statements and social media posts that are apparently being engineered in a failed attempt to seem cryptic on the situation.

In any case, the Celtics will next hit the floor on Monday evening for a home game against the Chicago Bulls.
