Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster Jeff Levering says the team's 2026 World Series run has shifted Wisconsin's fall spotlight away from the Packers.
The Brewers are preparing for their first World Series appearance since 1982 after sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series last Thursday.
However, Levering has noticed a significant change in how fans across Wisconsin are following the two franchises.
He recalled previous Septembers when spectators attending Brewers games would check Packers scores rather than focus on the baseball action.
Now, he says, that dynamic has shifted during Milwaukee's historic postseason run.
Foul Territory shared Levering's comments Tuesday on X, formerly Twitter, capturing the veteran broadcaster's assessment of the growing enthusiasm surrounding the organization.
“People would be watching the Packers scores instead of watching the game that they were attending in the ballpark. And now it's the other way around … This is a Brewers town right now.”
"When the colors start to change, it usually becomes a Packer state."

Levering also pointed to the “Let's Go Brewers” chants heard at Lambeau Field during Sunday's matchup between the Packers and Dallas Cowboys, further illustrating Milwaukee's growing postseason excitement.
Head coach Matt LaFleur wore a Brewers hat during his Friday press conference, acknowledging the team's remarkable postseason run.
Levering experienced that success firsthand, calling the final out of Milwaukee's 6-4 Game 4 victory over the Dodgers last Thursday.

Milwaukee will face the Tampa Bay Rays, who secured the American League pennant by defeating Cleveland in six games.
Neither the Brewers nor the Rays have won a World Series title, guaranteeing a first-time champion.
Game 1 of the 2026 World Series is set for Friday at American Family Field in Milwaukee, with first pitch at 8 p.m. ET.
The Brewers enter the championship series with their historic postseason run drawing attention across Wisconsin.
