The Milwaukee Brewers are now just two wins away from reaching a World Series. Milwaukee is up 2-0 on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. This is the first time in Brewers franchise history that the team has been up 2-0 in a best-of-seven series.

Milwaukee's players are fired up about accomplishing that feat, but know there's more work to do.

“Hey, it’s cool,” Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick said, per The Athletic. “It’s good to hear. But as cool as that is, I would hate to sit on that and be running around here going: ‘How cool is this, guys?’ But I know no one is even close to thinking that way. We’re just eager to go to L.A. and play another game.

“We don’t want to bask in (thinking): ‘This is sick. We’re up, 2-0.’ We know how good that team is and how quickly things can shift.”

Milwaukee won Game 2, 7-4. The game was tied heading into the sixth inning, before the Brewers were able to pull away late.

The Brewers have been one of the best teams in the National League the last few years. Milwaukee hasn't been able to reach a World Series, though, as the Dodgers have always stood in the way.

While Milwaukee is certainly off to a perfect start in this year's NLCS, the team doesn't want to let their foot off the gas.

“I honestly think that the focus is so much on that,” Frelick said. “There’s no one saying: `No one has done this before in this uniform.’ … We’re just like, OK, back to Brewers baseball.”

Game 3 of the NLCS is on Wednesday night in Los Angeles. The Dodgers have won the last two World Series titles.
