The New York Jets are one of the most difficult teams to figure out early in the 2026 season. New York is 1-2 headed into Week 4 but they nearly beat both Green Bay and Detroit in consecutive games. As such, the Jets will be under a lot of pressure to get a win this weekend and improve to 2-2. Can they pull it off without one of their best offensive weapons?

The Jets have ruled out running back Breece Hall for Sunday's game against the Bears, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport. New York also ruled out linebacker Kiko Mauigoa (quad), guard Dylan Parham (knee), and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger).

Hall suffered a quad injury during Week 3 against the Lions. He did not return to the game after the injury and was considered week-to-week the next day. Breece did not participate in practice on either Wednesday or Thursday. So the news that he will not be suiting up in Week 4 should not be too surprising for Jets fans.

The 25-year-old running back had an excellent performance in Week 1, logging 22 carries for 102 rushing yards and a touchdown. But since then, he's only managed 29 carries for 62 rushing yards in two games.

New York will be forced to rely on backups Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis, and Kene Nwangwu at running back in Week 4. That is a solid group, but the Jets may still see a noticeable decline in their rushing production without Hall.

Jets fans should still keep their eyes peeled for the final injury reporter on Friday afternoon. New York is also pretty banged up at the tight end position, with their top three players all sporting some type of injury. Kenyon Sadiq was a limited participant at practice on Wednesday and Thursday because of a back injury. If he cannot play in Week 4, New York's offense will be incredibly thin at the skill positions.

Ultimately, the Jets may have to lean heavily on their defense to get a much-needed win in Week 4.

Jets at Bears kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Oct. 4 from Soldier Field in Chicago.
