Atlanta Braves left-handed hitter Michael Harris II came through in the clutch in Sunday night's 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the National League Division Series to even the series at 1-1.
Harris went 3-for-5 with a single, triple and RBI double, finishing one home run shy of becoming only the second player in MLB postseason history to hit for the cycle. Brock Holt remains the only player to accomplish the feat, doing so for the Boston Red Sox in the 2018 American League Division Series.
Harris' triple in the fifth inning helped Atlanta regain the lead. Harris reached on an 86 mph sweeper from Dodgers reliever Kris Bubic, poking the pitch into left field before Teoscar Hernandez misplayed it. The ball had a .016 expected batting average. Harris then scored the go-ahead run on Bubic's wild pitch.
The 25-year-old added his RBI double against Edgardo Henriquez with two outs in the seventh, giving the Braves an insurance run and putting his side ahead 3-1. Max Muncy's two-out homer in the ninth brought Los Angeles within one, but Raisel Iglesias secured his second save by getting pinch-hitter Josue De Paula to foul out to third.
Harris' performance placed him in an exclusive group in Braves history. He became the fifth player in franchise history to record both a double and triple in the same playoff game, joining Ronald Acuna Jr., Mark DeRosa, Mark Lemke and Hank Gowdy.

He hit .294/.321/.491 with an .812 OPS and set career highs with 174 hits, 26 home runs, 87 RBIs and 36 doubles. Harris ranked fifth in the NL in hits, tied for fourth in doubles and sixth in batting average.
He had already made an impact earlier in the postseason, launching a three-run homer in the first inning of Atlanta's 6-2 Wild Card Series Game 3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.
On Sunday, Harris shouldered much of the offensive burden, as the Braves top four hitters, Drake Baldwin, Acuna, Matt Olson and Ozzie Albies, combined to go 2-for-15 with four strikeouts and five walks.
After a travel day, Atlanta will turn to Chris Sale for Game 3 on Tuesday against Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
