The Atlanta Braves made two unsurprising moves on Thursday. Atlanta is officially exercising Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies' contract options, the team announced. The team announced other moves as well.
“The #Braves today exercised options for OF Ronald Acuña Jr. and INF Ozzie Albies for the 2027 season. Atlanta also reinstated RHPs Spencer Schwellenbach, Spencer Strider and Hurston Waldrep, as well as LHP Joey Wentz, from the 60-day injured list.”
Acuna's deal features a club option for both 2027 and 2028. Albies' only included the club option for 2027, so he will enter free agency following the '27 campaign barring a contract extension.
