The Buffalo Bills have had one of the most exciting and explosive offensive teams in the NFL for years, and they are on their way to fulfilling that reputation again this season. However, that may not be enough to transform the Bills from a contending team to a champion.
The Bills went into their Week 4 game against their long-time rival New England Patriots with a 3-0 record. The Patriots had struggled out of the gate with a 1-2 record. This game represented an opportunity to push New England far down in the standings and gain a three-game lead in the AFC East.
However, the Patriots went punch for punch with the Bills and they ended up playing their best game of the season. New England emerged with a 29-26 victory over the Bills.
The Patriots had struggled to deliver a consistent performance this season before going to Buffalo. They outgained the Bills 405-340 and came very close to hitting their offensive stride.

“It should hurt. Don’t get me wrong because losing is never fun,” Brady told his locker room, per Bills insider Ajay Cibulski. “But, what are we going to do about it? What are we putting out there? The Bills travel to Los Angeles to play the Rams next Monday.
