The Buffalo Bills secured another close win in Week 6. Buffalo held off Las Vegas in the fourth quarter to secure a 33-30 victory on Sunday. But it wasn't a perfectly clean game as C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected for spitting on Brock Bowers during the first half. Fortunately, the veteran safety has come to his senses now that the dust has settled.
Gardner-Johnson posted a lengthy message on Instagram, apologizing for his behavior towards Bowers.
“My passion and competitive nature have always been a huge part of who I am, but I also understand that there is a line that should never be crossed,” Gardner-Johnson wrote. “The gesture I made towards my opponent was inappropriate, unnecessary, and not a reflection of the respect I have for him or this game.”
The veteran safety continued by taking full responsibility for his actions and apologizing directly to Bowers.
Gardner-Johnson took responsibility for his actions during a locker room interview shortly after the game.
“I gotta be a better vet,” Gardner-Johnson said. “I let my emotions get above me, and I hurt my team. “They brought me here to play in big games like this. So, I gotta do better. Just control my emotions. Nothing crazy.”

Still, Buffalo did struggled to contain Vegas throughout the entirety of the game. The Raiders finished with 378 total yards, including 313 passing yards. Both of those figures dwarf the Bills, who had 345 total yards and 242 passing yards.
Ultimately, Buffalos should be happy about getting another win in Week 6. It was not their cleanest effort, but it certainly got the job done.
Now the Bills gain some extra time to rest as they are on their bye in Week 7. Their next game is a Week 8 matchup against the Ravens.
