Ben Johnson on Week 4 QB: We'll see how it plays out

Third on the Bears’ depth chart, quarterback Case Keenum turned in a terrific performance on Monday night to help Chicago beat Philadelphia 27-7.

But with Tyson Bagent cleared from concussion protocol, will he be behind center if necessary in Week 4?

Or will starter Caleb Williams have recovered enough from his hamstring injury to play against the Jets?

Ben Johnson elected to remain mum on his plans for quarterback in an interview with ESPN 1000 Chicago on Tuesday.

“We’ll see how it plays out all week,” Johnson said, via Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune.

Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times noted Johnson was not asked directly about the quarterback situation to enter the week. Johnson is next slated to meet with the larger Chicago media contingent on Wednesday.

Starting his first game since 2023, Keenum completed 24-of-34 passes for 247 yards with two touchdowns in Monday’s victory. He also rushed for a touchdown in the contest.
