The Chicago Bears’ star quarterback Caleb Williams made a winning return from injury, leading his team to another victory against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. His eye-catching performance earned high praise from NFL legend Tom Brady, but Williams himself remained far from completely satisfied with his outing.

During the broadcast, Brady expressed his belief that Williams had delivered the best performance of his professional career so far. However, when asked about Brady’s assessment during the postgame press conference, Williams said that he still had plenty of room to improve.

“I didn't know I went 30-for-36,” Williams said. “I've got to go back and watch the tape. Winning covers up things, and losing shows everything. We'll go back, be true tellers about ourselves, look in the mirror, and figure out what we need to fix and get better at.”

Williams completed 30 of his 36 pass attempts for 305 yards and one touchdown. He also completed all 26 of his passes for 255 yards on plays when the Falcons failed to generate pressure. According to ESPN Insights, that marked the most pass attempts without an incompletion in situations without pressure since ESPN began tracking the statistic in 2009.

The performance also marked the sixth 300-yard passing game of Williams’ career, breaking his tie with Mitchell Trubisky for the most such games by a Bears quarterback before turning 25.

Williams finished the game with a completion percentage of 83.3%. That figure represents the highest completion percentage ever recorded by a Bears quarterback with at least 35 pass attempts.

Moreover, the Bears' star joined Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson as the only three quarterbacks in NFL history to throw 50 touchdown passes while recording 15 or fewer interceptions.

The victory improved Chicago’s record to 4-2, giving the Bears their third win in their last four games. Meanwhile, Atlanta dropped to 2-4 after suffering its second consecutive loss.

Chicago will now look to build on its latest victory when it hosts the New England Patriots on Thursday night.
