Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson will have his hands full trying to cover Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson in their face-off at Soldier Field on Sunday.

The Bears are coming off a historic win against the Carolina Panthers, 59-37, in Week 1, with the offense dropping the highest-scoring season opener in league history.

NFL legend Tom Brady mentioned that Chicago's defense could use some improvement after giving up nearly 40 points to the Panthers. The defense will face an even tougher challenge against the Vikings, with Johnson acknowledging Jefferson's talent.

“Justin's always been, I would say, top one or two since probably his second year in the league. He's an explosive wide receiver, a guy who makes plays, makes really good catches, and runs good routes,” said Johnson in a video posted by Bears Insider's Michal Dwojak.

“I don't think there's a flaw to his game.”

The 27-year-old Johnson recorded three tackles against the Panthers, contributing to the Bears' 65 tackles. He stressed that limiting the Vikings will need a collective effort.

“At the end of the day, you have to cover routes. You have to understand what they're doing, how they get them the ball, the ball placement, and where they throw the ball,” added the one-time All-Pro.

Minnesota beat the Green Bay Packers, 39-22, at US Bank Stadium in Week 1. The 27-year-old Jefferson had eight receptions on nine targets for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bears and the Vikings, who have a long-standing rivalry, split their two meetings last season. Minnesota leads the all-time head-to-head, 69-59-2.
