The Chicago Bears went from struggling through a messy Week 2 tilt with the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday to waiting with their season in the balance in just one play. Star quarterback Caleb Williams left the game in the rain at Soldier Field with a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter and did not return.
Fear for the extent of Williams' injury was very high after he was carted to the locker room in a lot of pain. Fortunately, it appears that Chicago dodged a bullet with the severity of the injury. Further testing has confirmed that Williams has avoided any serious injury and could even return as soon as Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles, per Tom Pelissero of The Ringer and Netflix.
