Coach Ben Johnson's Chicago Bears are riding high after defeating the New England Patriots on the road by a score of 30-24, although Cole Kmet's right knee injury put a damper on things. Kmet landed on injured reserve, which caused star quarterback Caleb Williams to pour his heart out in support.
Williams got a bold take from Colin Cowherd following the game. Cowherd praised the Patriots' defense, saying they will “eat” other quarterbacks up this season, while also declaring Williams the NFL's most talented at his position.
“It is hard to describe in person how good Caleb is,” Cowherd said. “Caleb (threw) across his body, the short window throws…Some of the stuff Caleb does, I feel like I'm watching Josh Allen without the interceptions.
“Everybody is afraid to say it, I'm not. I think Caleb is the most talented quarterback in this league.”

Williams, the former Heisman Trophy winner with the USC Trojans, threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in the Bears' win against the Patriots. Five different receivers had three or more catches on the night as Williams found a rhythm against one of the NFL's better teams.
Chicago is off until a Monday, Nov. 2 showdown against Sam Darnold and the Seahawks that will give Williams another chance to repeat his recent record-setting feats. Johnson's Bears are in good hands at the QB position, and fans know it, including Cowherd. A chance at Super Bowl LXI in Inglewood, California is looking like a real possibility, and Williams is a huge reason why.
