Bears General Manager Ryan Poles said in September that he didn’t know if cornerback Kyler Gordon would play for the Bears again, but it looks like he’ll be back in their lineup against the Falcons on Sunday.
The Bears activated Gordon from the physically unable to perform list on Saturday. Gordon has been working his way back from a calf injury that also kept him off the field for most of last season.
Defensive back Nick McCloud will also be available for Sunday’s game. The Bears signed him to the active roster from the practice squad.
They made room for Gordon and McCloud by placing defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo on injured reserve and releasing defensive back Xavier Woods. In addition to those moves, linebacker Buddy Johnson and running back Zavier Scott have been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
