As the contract situation between the Detroit Pistons and center Jalen Duren is still ongoing, the team has given a deal to another key player on the team. With star Ausar Thompson eligible for a contract extension with the Pistons, the latest news reveals that it has been done.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Detroit and Thompson have come to an agreement on a “rookie-scale contract extension” that is a five-year deal, worth $155 million.

“Just in: Detroit Pistons All-Defensive forward Ausar Thompson has reached agreement on a five-year, $155 million rookie-scale contract extension, sources tell ESPN,” Charania wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
