Anthony Davis had a night in his first game with the Washington Wizards.
The former No. 1 overall NBA draft pick showed out in helping the Wizards take down the visiting Milwaukee Bucks at Capital One Arena in Washington.
The 10-time NBA All-Star Davis led all scorers in the game with 34 points on an efficient 11-for-20 shooting from the floor and 11-for-14 from the free-throw line. He added 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 34 minutes of action, as the Wizards defeated the Bucks, 128-116.
With his scoring output, Davis tied a franchise record for most points scored by a player in his Washington franchise debut.
“F/C Anthony Davis' 34 points tied the most points by a Wizard in their first game with the team. He tied Antawn Jamison, who totaled 34 points in his Wizards debut on 11/3/04 at Memphis,” the Wizards' public relations X (formerly Twitter) account shared.
The Wizards played without 2026 top pick overall AJ Dybantsa due to injury, but Davis handled the frontcourt duties without much problem, as he sent a strong message that he still is a force to reckon with — as long as he's healthy, of course.
But it wasn't just all Davis for the Wizards, who got 29 points and 13 assists from Trae Young, while Kyshawn George put up 18 points.

Tyler Herro led the Bucks with 24 points.
The Wizards will look to stay undefeated on Friday, when they host the Toronto Raptors.
