The Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries are locked in a battle during Game 7 of the WNBA Finals for the right to host the WNBA trophy, and if statistics hold, history is on the side of the Dream. Angel Reese knocked down a 3-pointer in the first quarter of Game 7, and the Dream are 16-0 this year when she hits at least one 3-point shot, as per Annie Costabile of The Athletic.

Angel Reese has incorporated the 3-pointer into her offensive arsenal this season, her first with the Dream. During the WNBA playoffs so far, she has taken a total of 23 attempts from the 3-point line coming into Game 7, while converting on 10 of them (38.5 percent). That’s a significant increase in efficiency from the regular season when Reese took 57 3-point attempts and knocked down 11 of them (19.3 percent).

But during her first two seasons in the WNBA with the Chicago Sky, she took a combined 38 attempts from the 3-point line.

The No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Sky, Reese was traded to the Dream before the start of the regular season. She was the league’s Defensive Player of the Year this season and was selected to her third consecutive All-Star appearance.
