After their win in Game 2 of the WNBA Finals, Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese issued a simple request before the best-of-seven series shifted to State Farm Arena.

Reese urged their home crowd to “pull up” and “pop up.” Her alliterative plea did not fall on deaf ears, as 17,000 fans trooped to Game 3. The Dream fulfilled their end of the bargain, beating the Valkyries, 97-71, to inch closer to winning their first-ever title.

As she has done all season, the 26-year-old Reese gave credit to their home crowd for their unflinching support.

“I thought Ballhalla was loud, but Atlanta, y'all came out, and on a Wednesday, on a school night, you got work tomorrow. I appreciate y'all for coming out and supporting us and being loud on every single possession, just cheering,” said Reese in the video posted by WSB-TV's Alison Mastrangelo.

“Now, you don't have work on Sunday. You got church, maybe. But Saturday, you better pull up. Run it back, run it back. I'm looking forward to it.”

Reese finished with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, both team-highs, on top of three assists and three steals.

Rhyne Howard added 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals, while Jordin Canada tallied 10 points, six rebounds, and eight assists.

Just a few days before the WNBA Finals, the Dream faced a scheduling conflict that threatened to force them to play at Gateway Center Arena, which holds only 3,500 fans. The WNBA, however, found a solution, allowing the Dream to play at State Farm Arena.
