Walker Kessler on Wednesday reminded fans of the Los Angeles Lakers what it feels like to have a dependable big man. Kessler helped the Lakers blow out the Golden State Warriors, 127-105, in their season opener at Crypto.com Arena with a memorable performance.

In his first game for the Purple and Gold, Kessler scored 26 points on 12-of-12 shooting from the field. He added nine rebounds and two blocks.

ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel noted that the 25-year-old center reached a rare milestone with his immaculate debut.

“Dave Pasch just said on ESPN’s broadcast that Walker Kessler is the first Lakers player with a perfect shooting night, minimum 12 shots, since Wilt Chamberlain in 1969,” wrote Siegel on X.

As expected even before the season, Kessler benefited from the playmaking of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, getting easy baskets because of the gravity pulled by the backcourt duo.
