The Kansas City Chiefs are currently gearing up for their upcoming game against the New York Jets at home. The Chiefs are coming off a tough road loss to the divisional rival Denver Broncos on the road, marking their second straight defeat.

Before that game, Chiefs head coach surprised many when he benched starting left guard Kingsley Suamataia in favor of backup Mike Caliendo, who didn't exactly perform well in the loss.

Now, it appears that Reid is already ready to reverse course on that decision.

“Coach Reid says ‘there’s a good chance' Kingsley Suamataia is back at left guard this week,” reported Matt McMullen of the Chiefs on X, formerly Twitter.

Chiefs fans would certainly not be opposed to a change back to the original lineup after Kansas City's rough offensive performance last week against the Broncos. Many were puzzled by Reid's decision to make the move in the first place, but thankfully, it seems that it will be a short-lived one.

The Chiefs currently sit at 5-2 on the season, good for second place in the AFC West, although they have lost two straight games after a hot 5-0 start to the season. Kansas City had a chance to win the game against the Broncos last on Sunday, but the offensive line faltered at the worst possible time, giving up a sack of Patrick Mahomes on the final play of the game to seal the win for Denver.

In any case, kickoff between the Chiefs and Jets is slated for Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm ET from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
