After years of being one of the worst teams in the NBA, the Washington Wizards are hopeful to take a big leap and be come a playoff team with their new-look roster. Unfortunately, the team appeared to lose rookie forward AJ Dybantsa in the final game of the 2026-27 preseason.

In the first quarter of the Wizards' final preseason game against the New Orleans Pelicans, Dybantsa elevated for a mid-range jumper, but appeared to roll his ankle upon landing and was slow to get back up to his feet. Upon calling a timeout, Wizards teammates helped Dybantsa into the team's locker room, where he would remain.
