The Philadelphia 76ers are just over a month away from kicking off their new season, with offseason acquisitions LeBron James and Jaylen Brown now in the mix. James understandably took most of the headlines when he announced that he would be departing the Los Angeles Lakers for the 76ers as he enters his age-42 season.

On Tuesday, James took to social media to reveal that his former “Taco Tuesday” tradition is now back.

It had been a couple of years since James had posted the festivities, but it appears that his change of scenery to Philadelphia has prompted him to reestablish the tradition (although technically, James is reported to be living in New York City for the upcoming season while commuting to Philadelphia by helicopter for games and practices).

Regardless of where he stays on his off days, Philadelphia fans are certainly happy to have one of the game's greatest all-time players wearing their uniform for the next two years, even though he might not be the same player he was in his prime.

This past spring, James proved that he is still more than capable of being the best player in a playoff series with his performance during the Lakers' win over the Houston Rockets, and now, he figures to have even less of an offensive burden on him around stars like Brown, Tyrese Maxey, and (hypothetically) Joel Embiid.

While there will be questions to answer about perimeter shooting, defense, and health, the 76ers seem to have as much pure talent as anyone in the league heading into this season.

Philadelphia is set to kick off the new campaign on October 20 with a road game vs the reigning champion New York Knicks.
