The San Francisco 49ers kept their undefeated season alive on Monday night, but it came at a steep cost. Already dealing with a ton of injuries in their wide receiver room, their star wide receiver exited the game with an injury. Veteran wideout Mike Evans exited the game with an Achilles injury. San Francisco was able to manage without their wide receiver for the game, but their situation suddenly looks more dire now.
After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan shared an update on the other 49ers' injured wide receivers. In particular, Shanahan talked about Christian Kirk and Demarcus Robinson. Here's what the head coach had to say about his two receivers.
“Kyle Shanahan said Christian Kirk is a possibility to play next week, but he doesn't think Demarcus Robinson will be ready to come off of IR,” Matt Barrows reported on X.
The 49ers started this season with high expectations for their offense. After acquiring Evans in a trade this offseason, they had a solid wide receiver group. Evans joined a group that had Ricky Pearsall, Christian Kirk, and an exciting rookie in De'Zhaun Stribling. However, one by one, San Francisco's 49ers dropped due to injuries.

Even Stribling, who started a few games for the 49ers this season, was ruled out due to a season-ending ankle injury. Demarcus Robinson came in later to help bolster the offense, but he too suffered an injury that will keep him out for the next few weeks.
If Evans does end up missing the 49ers' Week 7 tilt against the Atlanta Falcons, their wide receiver room will consist of Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing, and Jordan Watkins. San Francisco does have running back Christian McCaffrey and tight end George Kittle still, but Brock Purdy will need to make the most of what he'll be given in the next few weeks.
