The Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians are set to play Game 5 of the American League Division Series at Progressive Field in Cleveland on Saturday. Chicago took the first two games of the series before Cleveland bounced back with two wins. Neither team has yet to win a game at home in the series. The Guardians are obviously hoping to change that on Saturday.

On Thursday, Jose Ramirez led the Guardians to a 9-5 win to even the series at two games apiece. So, will Cleveland get the job done at home on Saturday night, or will Chicago take care of business on the road?

Here are four bold predictions for Game 5 of the ALDS.

Gavin Williams silences the noise

Much has been discussed about Guardians manager Stephen Vogt's decision to turn to Gavin Williams in the 9th inning of Game 4. Some agree with the decision, as they believe it was necessary to secure the Game 4 victory. Others questioned the move since Williams is expected to start Game 5 and Cleveland held a fairly comfortable lead when Williams entered. Either way, the reality of the situation is that Williams is going to make some sort of impact on Saturday.

Williams is expected to start Game 5. Since he threw 18 high-stress pitches on Thursday, there's a belief going around that Williams may have just three or so innings of pitching to give. The prediction here is that Williams will silence the noise and give Cleveland at least four or possibly five respectable innings of work on the mound.

Miguel Vargas hits another home run

Vargas has turned into a true star this year. The White Sox would not be where they are without his contributions. Vargas homered on Thursday in the 9th inning. Although the White Sox still trailed by four runs after the long ball, Vargas' homer at least made things interesting in the final inning.

The All-Star infielder hit .304 with three home runs against the Guardians during the regular season. He's continued to give Guardians pitching nightmares in the postseason, as he's hitting .400 with one home run through the first four games of the ALDS. Cleveland cannot pitch around him since Munetaka Murakami bats right behind him.

Whether the White Sox win or lose on Saturday, look for Vargas to hit another home run.

Brayan Rocchio gives Guardians another clutch moment

“Rocctember” has become a rallying cry for the Guardians in recent seasons. It references shortstop Brayan Rocchio's clutch performance in September. However, Rocchio was clutch all season long. He has yet to find consistent success this postseason, though.

After recording four walk-offs during the regular season — including one against the White Sox in September — there is reason to believe he will come through once again on Saturday. Perhaps it won't be a walk-off hit, but look for Rocchio to record a clutch moment in this game.

Cade Smith records two-inning save

Typically, predicting that Cade Smith will have a two-inning save in a postseason game would not be especially bold. The prediction becomes far more bold in this specific scenario considering the fact that he threw 31 pitches on Thursday. With only one day of rest, some may assume Smith will only be available for one inning.

Vogt hasn't been afraid to call Smith's name before the 9th inning, though. If Cleveland enters the 8th inning with a lead of three runs or less — or possibly even more given Vogt's decision-making on Thursday — Smith will probably get the call. Look for him to rise to the occasion and turn in a two-inning save to clinch an appearance in the ALCS for the Guardians.
