The Atlanta Braves lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS, being eliminated in the MLB Playoffs in four games. The Braves now prepare for the offseason after an early exit.
The Braves did not score well in the series, but they did do one thing very well, despite it not mattering, per Grant McAuley of 929 The Game.
“Weird Braves postseason stat that I wasn't prepared for: They ranked 28th in MLB in walks in the regular season, but even with LCS round started, the Braves still lead all playoff teams with 30 walks (7 games). Incredibly, none of the 18 walks during their NLDS loss scored,” McAuley posted on X, formerly Twitter.
The 30 walks by the Braves still lead every team in the playoffs. Still, they are sixth in on-base percentage, after hitting just .183 in the playoffs. They were also dreadful with runners in scoring position. In the series with the Dodgers, they went just one for 23 with runners in scoring position, and overall hit just .145.

Maurico Dubon went one for two with runners in scoring position in that game while the team went one for six. The Braves went on to win that game 3-2. The team went 0-13 with runners in scoring position in the two games at home, scoring just two runs.
The Braves now have a lot of questions entering the offseason. Since winning the World Series in 2021, the Braves have won just one series. They are also just 4-12 in postseason games since then.
