Andy Robertson in talks to leave Liverpool after nine years and join Premier League rival
Tottenham have launched a surprise bid to sign Andy Robertson from Liverpool.
The Scotland star has been at Anfield for most of his career, joining nine years ago in 2017, and establishing himself as a modern great.
While still maintaining a crucial leadership role as a vice-captain, Robertson has been reduced to a bit-part player this season following the arrival of Milos Kerkez.
As first reported by The Athletic, the Reds are now in talks with Spurs over an unexpected January move for the 31-year-old.
talkSPORT understands there is still much work to be done before a deal is completed.
Robertson is out of contract in the summer and Tottenham have brought forward pre-existing plans to sign him as a free agent.
